The Bowl Championship Series uses a "double hosting"
format for bowl games. Under this model there are five BCS bowl
games annually:
Orange,
Fiesta,
Sugar, and
Rose Bowls plus a
BCS Championship game
that will rotate among the four bowl sites each year.
Once every four years, one of the aforementioned bowls
will host two BCS games: its traditional bowl game and
the National Championship game.
