Get A Free iPod! (No obligations)
Is this for real?
I can't personally vouch for this as I have yet to earn my own iPod,
but I have searched all over the net and have seen many success
stories. Some are from reputable sites like this article in Wired, and a fair amount of photographic evidence
that people have received their iPods, it seems very likely that this
is a legitimate offer. Please come back to this site to sign up so I
can get my iPod. If so, I'll be happy to post your info here so you can
get one too!!
How does it work?
First off, keep in mind that you must be a US resident, 18 years or older. Sign up at freeipods.com
and complete one of the offers. (Remember that after you have received
credit for whatever you signed up for, you can cancel and you won't be
charged anything.) Then convince five other people to sign up and
complete an offer, and you get an iPod!
Which offer should I choose?
The offers are all fairly harmless, although most require a valid
credit card. I signed up for the two week trial membership to
Blockbuster's online DVD rental program. This is just like Netflix and
the really cool thing is besides the unlimited DVDs by mail for two
weeks, you will also get two virtual coupons for free rental from your
local Blockbuster! Can't beat that. As long as you cancel on the last
day of your two-week trial membership, your credit card won't be
billed. I've done this before with WalMart and Netflix and cancelled
without a problem. They even gave me 7 days to return the DVDs I
currently had. Also, with these two I didn't get the free local movies,
so this one is even better. Bottom line is you get some free DVD
rentals as long as you cancel on the last day of the trial membership.
I set a reminder in my calendar program to make sure I didn't forget.
Can I sign up for all three?
Yes. You just need to complete a different offer for each item.
How can they afford to do this?
Basically, they're selling your marketing information and are also
being paid by the companies on the offers page. They also count on
being able to sign up people for trial memberships that won't get
around to cancelling before their card is charged.
I don't want to give out my credit card!
Can't say I blame you, but if you choose Blockbuster, you've giving it
to a pretty reputable business. Also PayPal offers a "virtual debit
card" which is useful for things like this.
Take the plunge and give it a try. All you have to do is sign up.
